last night at home

I had a great night out with the staff last night, ended the evening going for a meal with 3 of the best looking members of staff !!!! (Debbie, Kate and Rachel ) But please don't ask me how I walked home as I don't remember.... I blame Jamie for that.

It's now 9.15pm, I have now packed my suitcase and cleaned the house, just got to finish off the kitchen then I can go to bed.

I am being picked up at 7.30 am tomorrow morning, my flight to Amsterdam leaves at 10 a.m then I catch my flight to Manila at 2pm, I arrive in Manila at 9am Monday morning. I will try and stay awake until the evening so that I can develop a good sleep pattern and avoid jet lag but I won't count on it.

Final week.

I only have 1 week to go before I fly out to Manila. This week will be busy as the kids return back to school on Tuesday and there's still some work to do there yet.

I haven't sold my car so that will have to go into storage, I still have much to do before I go but it will all get done I'm sure.... and if it doesn't.... well that's life. Will I worry.... don't think so as I will be 7000 miles away, sitting in the sunshine during the British winter !!

Only 3 weeks now

Only 2 weeks until school starts back again, there's not much else to do now except to pack a couple of days before I go. I still have to sell my car yet which is my only real problem.

As the time gets nearer I am beginning to look forward to the adventure of meeting new people and seeing many different places.

Luckily when I arrive it will be the rainy season so I will get a break from the hot sun when it rains. The good thing is that the rain is warm too so it never gets cold, 1 hour after getting drenched you will be dried by the hot sun.

The 2 essential things needed there are bottled water and air con !!!

Janets 60th

On Saturday 4th August we had a surprise birthday party for Janet (Michaels wife). It was a really nice evening and Janet didn't even suss it whichI must admit I thought she would.

What I really want to know is why have the 4 McGuire brothers started to look like our father !!

Whatever happened to those lean bodies, most were very sporty all of our lives but look at us now....... where is the nearest Derby and Joan club !! or is it grab a granny at the local pub !!!!

yet more paperwork !!

Spent a few hours today on "hold" on my phone, trying to get through to sky, orange, TV license and BT to suspend my accounts, to be fair once I did get through they were all quite helpful.

The council tax people weren't so helpful though, I still have to pay £100 per month for services that I will not be using........but that's life.

Just over 5 weeks to go !

Today I booked a condo for the first 2 weeks that I'm in Manila. That will give me time to look around and maybe see somewhere better, I maybe even decide not to stay in Manila but go somewhere else.
Also my car is up for sale with autotrader, the magazine is issued next Tuesday but the ad is on their website so hopefully I will get some enquiries especially now as the sun is out at last... this has been a woeful English summer so far.
